Day camp is designed to help teach the fundamentals of basketball, while also creating competition in a fun way. Shooting, ball-handling, and passing will be emphasized in a team-constructed manner to help campers enjoy the game while learning how to improve and compete.
Campers entering grades 3-12 will attend daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Campers entering grades 1 and 2 will attend daily from 9 a.m. to Noon.

Campers in Grades 1 & 2
Campers in grades 1 & 2 will have camp from 9 a.m. to Noon each day. Parents are welcome to stay and watch camp. Drop-off and pick-up will be at Mackey Arena each day.

Campers in grades 3 and over will have camp from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Parents are welcome to stay and watch camp. Drop-off and pick-up will be at Mackey Arena each day.
Pick-up and Drop-off
Campers can be dropped off each day anytime between 8:15 and 9 a.m. at Mackey Arena. Pick-up will be in Mackey Arena each day at Noon for grades 1 and 2 and 4 p.m. for grades 3 and over. For drop-off and pick-up, we suggest parking in the A-Lot, which is located immediately south of Ross-Ade Stadium and can be accessed from John Wooden Drive on the East side Ross-Ade Stadium. Please park in University Residence spots as A, B, C permit spot may be ticketed.
Daily Schedule
Lunch
Lunch will be provided each day. Campers also have the option to bring their own lunches. Coolers will be collected each day and handed out at lunchtime. During Check-In on Monday, campers (and parents) can select from options for lunch each day during the week. (Monday’s lunch will be pizza and campers can select between cheese, pepperoni and sausage).
Awards Ceremony
The awards ceremony for full-day campers will be held on the last day of camp at 3:30 p.m. in Mackey Arena.
For half-day campers, closing ceremonies will be held at 11:30 a.m. on the last day of camp in Mackey Arena.
Schedules
Daily schedules are available at Check-In. Game schedules are subject to change, especially on the last day of camp. Please check with your camper regarding game time if you plan to see him play on that day.
Teams
Campers are placed on teams according to age and ability. Our priority in forming teams is to have balanced competition. In some cases, players are "traded" from the team assigned at Check-In to better balance the competition.
Photographs/Punch Cards
An individual photograph with Coach Painter or a group photograph can be purchased at Check-In. Photographs are $16 ($15+$1 fee) each or both individual and group photos for $26.50 ($25+$1.50 fee).
In addition, Camp Punch Cards can be purchased for $11 ($10+$1 fee) and will contain 5 punches good for extra drinks and snacks during the lunch break.
